The Huawei Y5 (2019) was previously featured on a leak along with its photos and several specifications. The device got certified by the EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission) alongside the Honor 20, 20 Pro, and Huawei P Smart Z. Now, the phone is spotted on a new leak with its photos and some new pieces of information about it.

As per the previous leak, the Huawei Y5 (2019) will be powered by a low-tier MTK Helio A22 processor with quad-core CPU running @ 2GHz and paired with 2GB of RAM. The phone will sport a display with a water-drop notch on top and an HD+ (1520 x 720p) resolution. In addition, it will ship with Huawei’s EMUI 9 which is most likely based on the latest Android 9 Pie.

And now, the new leak reveals that the phone will come with a rather small display with only 5.71 inches in size. It is by no mean a small display, but it is if we take into the fact that the standard display size of today’s smartphones is lying around 6 to 6.5 inches. We can see on the leaked photo that the handset will have a sizeable chin at the bottom.
The leak further reveals that the Huawei Y5 (2019) will feature a 13MP main sensor and it will not come with a fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. Users will instead have to use Facial Recognition feature to unlock the phone. The leaked photo also shows that the phone will have a faux leather finish at the rear panel. We are not sure if this design will be applied to all variants or this will only be restricted to just a single model.
The Chinese phone maker hasn’t revealed the exact launch date of the phone, but we expect more information to come out soon. As always, we will keep you posted here at MobyGeek.com if there are any more news coming out.
