The Samsung Galaxy Fold, which already made a comeback at IFA 2019 last month, has now arrived in India. The handset was first introduced earlier in the year as Samsung’s first foldable phone. However, due to quality issues, Samsung had to delay the launch of this device. The phone is claimed to be more sturdy with two screens - a 7.3-inch dynamic AMOLED panel that can bend inwards and a 4.6-inch Super AMOLED display that will work as a primary screen when the phone is folded. Other highlights include a Snapdragon 855 SoC, a total of six cameras, up to 12GB RAM and 512GB of storage, and a massive battery that supports fast charging technology.

Samsung Galaxy Fold: Price
The Galaxy Fold will be available in India at Rs. 1,64,999 for the single variant with 12GB RAM / 512GB of storage. Samsung Galaxy Fold: Specifications
The device comes with a 7.3-inch foldable screen with 2,152 x 1,536p resolution and a secondary 4.6-inch screen with HD+ (1,680 x 720p) resolution. It is claimed to support the app continuity feature for a smoother transition between the two screens. It also supports three-window multitasking, which allows users to utilize a larger screen estate to run three different apps. Under the hood, there is a Snapdragon 855 chipset, aided by 12GB RAM + 512GB of storage. For software, it ships with Android 9.0 Pie at launch with Samsung’s OneUI on top.

On the camera side, the Galaxy Fold comes with a triple camera setup at the back, including a 12MP main wide-angle shooter with DPAF, OIS, and a variable aperture of f/1.5-2.4, a 16MP ultra-wide snapper with f/2.2 aperture, and a 12MP telephoto unit with OIS, PDAF, f/2.4 lens, and 2x optical zoom. Above the secondary display, Samsung uses a 10MP selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture.
The whole setup is fueled by a 4,380 mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging solution. Users can also charge the phone with wireless charging or charge other devices with the reverse wireless charging technology.
