Apple's First Foldable Device Probably Is iPad And Tipped To Debut In 2021

This year, the mobile phone market saw some phone manufacturers announced their foldable phones like Huawei and Samsung. But in fact, it did not work out like what they expected. And now it seems that Apple is planning to launch its foldable iPad in 2020 or 2021, according to UBS company. The report said:

As described in a CNBC report, Samsung still leads the way in the new sector as it dominates intellectual property filings for device technologies and folding display.

In addition, according to the keynote, the biggest difficulty in the application of this new form factor is its pricing. As per a survey of the organization, users would be satisfied to pay about $400-$500 extra for a foldable device on top of current flagship iPhones. Additionally, the overall interest for a foldable device of Apple is higher amongst Apple users. Also, the report suggests that the foldable iPhone probably debuts after foldable iPad. And the survey showed that over one-third of customers are interested in foldable devices and major of whom are from China.

Apple files a patent which shows a device that can fold in half

As you may know, this is not the first time that the information about the Apple foldable device has surfaced. Various patents filings were spotted online, however, they have not provided much certain information about the mysterious foldable device. However, Apple will certainly be more cautious in its new design approach since its direct competitor - Samsung had a failed release for its Galaxy Fold. So far, there has been no foldable device available to consumers though Samsung has fixed its foldable phone and planned to release it in the upcoming September.
