This Thursday, Nvidia will unveil details of its next xnxubd 2020 Nvidia GPUs ‘Ampere.’ However, there has already been leaked information around the upcoming GPU lineup. If the leaks turn out true, RTX 30-series graphics process units could offer the most impressive tech upgrade and generational graphics performance in a long time.
This leaked information is from a YouTuber called Moore’s Law is Dead, who claims to have details from Nvidia’s insider sources. Based on the information, the upcoming next-gen Ampere GPUs will be among the best gaming graphics cards.
For example, on the higher-end of the lineup, we have the GA102 as the next-gen version of the RTX 2080 Ti, which is said to offer 40 percent increase in performance at 4K resolution with poorly-optimized games, and 50-70 percent higher performance with well-optimized games, compared with the current version of the xnxubd 2020 Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti.
Regarding clock speed, the current-gen RTX 2080 Ti GPU offers 1,635MHz, but the GA102 is said to offer 2.2GHz, adding 21TFLOPS performance. Also, it will likely offer 40 percent more memory bandwidth compared with the RTX 2080 Ti.
Such upgrades will also be given to lower-end GPUs of the lineup, such the GA103 and GA104, though this information hasn’t been confirmed yet.
To make sure the xnxubd 2020 Nvidia wouldn’t get too hot with the upgraded performance, it’s possible that the GA102 will house a triple-fan cooling system, which like the 20-series Founders edition with one more fan.
Moore’s Law is Dead revealed that from the information he’s got, ray tracing may become much more mainstream for gaming, with lower mid-range Ampere GPUs may even outperform the highest-end Turing graphics cards. This is likely because their RT cores will perform far better with the ability to process intersections 4 times faster than the RT cores of Turing GPUs. This means the GA102 graphics card will perform 4 or 5 times faster than a Titan RTX.
