Back in the month of June, the CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, made it clear that the product line strategy of the brand will be going forward. A fast-growing line of Redmi got the task to deliver smartphones with the finest feasible value for money. On the contrary, the focus of Mi line continued to be on the incorporation of more creative and the newest innovations as well as flagship components.
It was confirmed by a post that there are no plans for Mi Max and Mi Note series for the current year. But now, probably the plans have changed. According to UniverseIce on Twitter, the company will restart its Xiaomi Mi Note series and the new addition to the series will be dubbed Mi Note10.
By the very right Ice Universe, a new tweet claims that line of Xiaomi Mi Note is going to come back with Mi Note 10 probably by October's end. Mi Note 3 was the endmost model, which was released from the Mi Note line approximately before three years. Thus, it would be a bit surprising seeing Xiaomi bringing back the series of Mi Note.
Actually, Mi Note used to be the premier phablet line at some point of time because the starting two generations did offer flagship and upper-midrange specifications along with huge screens (at that time). Later, with Mi Note 3, it was decided by Xiaomi that they will tone the specs down, so they offered comparatively smaller screen.
Since that time, the Redmi line got better every year, and new models such as Mi 9T/K20 and also the Pro versions certainly filled the upper midrange void in the portfolio of Xiaomi. For now, we have to be patient for the official verification from Xiaomi, whether a line of Mi Note is really coming back or not.
