WhatsApp has been going fast not only in expanding its user base but also releasing new updates. In recent time, this could be considered as a tradition of the company, suggesting that it has been making new features on the go while improving current ones at the same time. For iOS devices, WhatsApp rolled out a testing version of its new audio playback feature to help users directly preview their voice messages from the notification menu. Finally, it’s now coming in the 2.19.91.1 beta version of WhatsApp.

This information was first discovered by WABetaInfo. Besides, the 2.19.90.8 beta version of WhatsApp Business is also launched with it and the same will soon happen in other versions for iOS devices on Apps Store. If you’ve already updated your iOS version, you can experience this feature after backing up the chat history then reinstalling the app. The reason is that once you’ve reinstalled WhatsApp or any others, it will be updated with the latest features and configurations automatically. At present, there’re still rooms for improvement, so WhatsApp will have to make sure that the feature is all-around developed before officially launching it to everyone.
Apart from that, you can’t reply back to a voice message immediately with a similar one via notifications and you’re only able to do this via text. What’s more, the sender can’t know if you’ve played his/her voice messages when you’ve heard it via notifications.

Along with this feature, the Facebook-owned company previously introduced an update with “Consecutive Voice Messages” for Android devices, which was initially limited to iOS users. The feature gives users the ability to play several voice messages consecutively instead of pressing the play button manually to hear each voice message. These user-centric updates are supposedly tasked with many expectations from both WhatsApp and users.
