Twitter Enables Users To Choose Who Can Reply Their Tweets

A new Twitter feature that can help users control the way people make responses to their posts.

Most users of Twitter might face negative replies to their tweets several times before. In order to eliminate those bad experiences, this social network is planning on a new feature that can help Tweeters control the people making responses to their posts. Besides the ordinary free-for-all mode (Global mode), users are also able to restrict the number of replies to those you follow or mention (Group mode), the people participating in the "conversation only" (Panel mode) or private mode (also called Statement). Therefore, one does not need to turn their account into the private mode to get rid of malicious comments from strangers.

You can choose a specific mode to restrict the replies.

The good news is that Twitter possibly installs its new functions in late 2020. Together with the feature mentioned above, a lot of interesting new upgrades would be introduced in the near future as well. In a few months, users will have a chance to experience a threading-installed conversation view and the very first discussion interface. Additionally, lists are being upgraded with the list display customization and screens which will be helpful in finding useful lists.

Dims

Although the upcoming feature will not completely eliminate unwanted mentions and the possibility of receiving cruel direct messages might rise up if your DMs are open, it can make an enormous change to the number of people that may influence your own Twitter account. If you want to limit the chats having hot-button content to those who really care about them, you will never choose to ignore this new adaptation. This could also help celebrities and officials getting rid of negative responses to their tweets. However, the drawback that might appear is the gathering of people who have similar opinions or viewpoints. To prevent yourself from being an absent-minded Tweeter, you are advised to open your posts publicly.
