Game streaming platform Twitch has blocked new creators from live streaming after last weekend when content which grossly violates its terms of service was streamed.
In particular, as reported by Vice, trolls streamed footage from Game of Thrones on Twitch, they also used the platform to stream porn as well as the New Zealand shooting along with hate speech in the comments.

According to the platform, several accounts targeted the Artifact game directory to spread the content.

In addition, it claimed to put the safety of the community at the top priority, and that it was spending efforts to restore access to live streaming quickly.
Besides, the Verge informed that Artifact, the channel for streaming card games, has the lowest popularity on the whole platform, so trolls tagged their content “Artifact”, a low-key category, to stream it through the weekend.

Introduced by Twitch Interactive in June 2011, Twitch is a platform for live streaming videos. Twitch Interactive is one of Amazon’s subsidiaries. Mostly, the site concentrates on live streaming video games, which include eSports competition broadcasts, along with creative content, music broadcasts, and “in real life” streams. Users on the platform can view the content either live or through video on demand.
Twitch rapidly became popular. As of October 2013, it had 4.5 crore unique viewers; by February 2014, the platform had had the fourth most Internet traffic in the US. Also, in August 2014, Amazon acquired Twitch’s rival – Justin.tv – for $970 million.
