A few days ago, Elon Musk’s electric car manufacturer, Tesla, revealed its plans to slash the prices of 8 vehicle models. For those who are going to buy a Tesla car, this must be good news, but for those who have bought it, they have got a great shock.

Only after one night, the prices of the company’s electric cars were sharply down. Now, its customers can save thousands of dollars to bring one of the high-tech EVs to their garage. However, this led to waves of protest against Elon Musk’s company in the whole world. As a result, Tesla may lose its chances to take over the potential EV market.
On February 28, it made an official announcement on the new price of the Model 3. Accordingly, the EV model will be sold for $35,000. Moreover, it also adjusted the initial prices of the two other models including Model X and Model S to $18,000. Some EV versions were reduced by $18,000.
The company’s new prices have made really strong impacts on many foreign markets. Electrek stated that some vehicles such as Model X and Model S are now sold for just a bit higher than $30,000, meanwhile, in Taiwan, the Model S P100D was reduced by about $100,000.

Some of the Tesla customers in a fury started criticizing the company on social media platforms.
More acrimoniously, at some its physical stores, many customers showed banners which were against the new prices of the Model lineups, meanwhile, others came to some Supercharger stations to make their complaints.
According to a variety of experts, the EV market in China may have a sharp increase in the coming time. However, others think that the country will occupy 50% of all sales from electric vehicles in the next 6 years (by 2025).

Some days before Tesla announced the new prices, The Global Times revealed that the company could have a bright future in the Chinese market when the middle class has been growing up.
In the case the protests against Tesla have become so strong, the company would possibly lose its current position in the promising Chinese market.
