SpaceX has just made public its plan to send four private passengers into space at the end of 2021 or 2022.
This plan is possible thanks to its partnership with Space Adventure, a tourism company that has helped seven private citizens to reach the ISS onboard the Soyuz rocket of Russia.
No detail on the requirements the passengers have to meet to be legible to take this kind of flight was disclosed by both Space Adventure and SpaceX. The only thing we know is that the passengers will make the trip with SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft, which is certified to transport humans.

The company has spent the best parts of the last few years to create and test Dragon spacecraft that can shuttle astronauts to space, as part of a deal with NASA.
Elon Musk, SpaceX’s CEO, has been talking about the possibility of space tourism for a few years now, but he was mostly over-optimistic about a timeline for the idea to become a reality.
Some other private spaceflight companies are also run against the clock to establish standing in this new and emerging market. Two of the biggest names are Blue Origin of Jeff Bezos and Virgin Galactic of Richard Branson. However, the two companies’ offers still limit to a few minutes of experiencing weightlessness in a spacecraft.
The inside of the Crew Dragon Spacecraft has been revealed to the public. There are just a few seats with touch screens and small windows. The look of the spacesuits that the passengers will wear has also been made public. The suits are a bit bulky but flame-resistant, cooled, and pressurized.
