OnePlus is rolling out a feature to lend a helping hand to those traveling frequently and often find themselves on a low battery. Well, when we are allowed to travel freely again though.
The feature will point OnePlus owners to the company’s charging points placed at some airports in India so that users can top up their phones quickly while waiting for their flights. For now, India is the only country with this upgrade. The new feature is now at Bangalore airport and will soon come to Delhi airport.

The feature is able to work thanks to the beacons on each charging point. Your OnePlus phones will be able to tell you the direction to the nearest station and also the distance from it. The early screenshots make it seems like users will have to opt-in if you want the feature enabled on your phones.

If the notifications bother you, you can always mute the feature for six hours.
OnePlus hasn’t revealed many details about the new feature but it will be super handy if the charging stations also support its superb fast charging technology.
The company’s Warp Charge can be of great help to top up your phones quickly when you travel. While for now, only one airport has support for the feature and one more on the way, we hope that the company will expand the coverage so that more Indian OnePlus users can have access to it.
