According to the report from the Financial Times, Google executives believe that if the United States issues a ban on Huawei, the nation can face security risks. They say if the Chinese tech company can no longer use Android updates, it must develop made-by-Huawei similar software that may be hacked more easily. As per Google, the company hopes the Trump government will delay its ban, or if possible, dismiss the ban.

In May 2019, the US government under the leadership of President Donald Trump declared the “national emergency” caused by Huawei’s products. And therefore, Google doesn’t allow the company to access the latest updates of Android OS. Huawei stated that it would introduce its operating system that has been developed for many years. The launch date may be in the fall of this year.
In recent days, the US government has allowed its companies to adjust their agreement and business with Huawei within 90 days. However, the Financial Times revealed that Google has asked the government for an extension or an exemption from this ban.

As written by Cherlynn Low from Engadget, the software doesn’t belong to the strong points of Huawei. That’s why the company may be significantly affected if it has to step into the software business.
According to the statement from Google:

The US ban on Huawei has still continued and the Chinese tech giant has faced unprecedented risks. No one knows whether they have to combat in court or not.
