Google has officially removed its Gmail Inbox on the 2nd April of 2019. That Inbox was quite popular among users for some of its key features such as message grouping, reminders, and many others.
Spark
Therefore to fill the hole left behind by the app, Google has introduced the Spark email app from iOS to Android platform. From the number, we know that Spark is one of the best email apps on the AppStore. With Spark, the users could customize their own feature that suits their needs - which is also the USP of it. Spark offers a Smart Inbox, fully gesture-based UI and the function to lets users customize the sidebar.
The Smart Inbox feature of Spark will allow the users to organize the emails into many separate spaces in the Inbox. So the unread emails will go on the top, then next will be the pinned emails and then read emails. Similar to Gmail, in Spark, the users can also schedule their email using the Send Later feature.
And just like the Gmail Inbox app, Spark also features gesture control. Users can use various gesture like swipe right or left, up or down to perform tasks such as deleting, archiving and reading emails. You can head to Google Play and download the app for free from right now.
However, the app also offers a paid plan with a subscription within the app. It will give paid users access to some exclusive features. This subscription costs Rs 500 a month.
Google+ is coming down too
Not long ago, Google has also announced its plan of shutting down another service - Google+ social network. The company has come up with this decision after considering the low traffic and the two major security bugs on the site. The first bug was found out a few months ago which posed the threat of exposing information of many Google+ users.
