The social network has had a lot of scandals recently and has disappointed many users. However, Facebook's volunteer work to help those in need is a work full of love so we cannot ignore their contributions to communities around the world.

More than 20 million people have donated or set up a fundraiser through these features on this network. If you accidentally donated $20 to your friend's birthday fund, you're one of the 20 million people mentioned above.

Naomi Gleit - the vice president of Facebook about social good, wrote in an article that everyone in the world uses the social network as a charity tool to support people around, such as helping a neighbor misplaced everything in a fireplace or energizing a child who has been battling cancer for life, in addition to helping non-profit organizations bring food and beverage to the homeless and anyone in need.

Facebook also said that many campaigns have received donations from people around the world including the St. Jude campaign, the Marine Mammal Center and Save the Children.

Facebook has announced that $300 million has been donated to more than 750,000 non-profit organizations. The original purpose of this tool was to create volunteer donations to nonprofits; then Facebook added the ability to raise funds for individuals in need. Since then, Facebook has scrapped transaction fees for fundraising and the platform fee for individuals fundraising.

The social network will be launching aid funds in Australia and Canada. It also intends to cooperate PayPal in order to match up a $7 million fund to non-profit organizations on November 27 (Giving Tuesday) in the United States.
