Amazon has continued with its operations in India. Customers can now order for groceries as well as other essential items via Amazon Pantry service.
However, the service is only available in select PIN codes in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Pune. Hopefully, the service will reach other locations in the country as well.
According to the company, it is trying to first finish existing orders, while new orders will take 7 to 10 days.

The news comes only a few days after Amazon stopped its operations in India due to the nationwide lockdown. With multiple checkpoints and roadblocks, it was difficult for delivery personnel to make deliveries. Therefore, most e-commerce platforms including Flipkart and Amazon decided to suspend their services in India last month until further notice.
However, earlier this week, through an official update, Amazon announced that it would fulfill existing prepaid orders in some select PIN codes in Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Bhubaneshwar, Gurugram, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Jamshedpur, Ludhiana, Lucknow, Mumbai, Mohali, Nagpur, Mysuru, Noida, New Delhi, Patna, Panjim, Raipur, Pune, Visakhapatnam, and Vijayawada.

With people trying to stock up on groceries as well as other essential items, Zomato recently launched a new grocery delivery service in Delhi, Kerala and Punjab. Known as Zomato Market, the grocery delivery service is expected to soon delivery both groceries and fresh products. However, at the moment, only rice, lentils, flour and other daily essentials are available for shipping.
