Alibaba Cloud Introduces New Products And Refers To India As An Important Market

Through its partners in the region including Singapore, Alibaba Cloud will connect them with Chinese consumers and firms via the ecosystem of Alibaba.

On May 30, Alibaba Cloud introduced more than 10 new features and products at the Alibaba Cloud APAC Summit. In addition, the Chinese company also revealed its plan to target India as its important market.

This is the first time Alibaba Cloud brings these new features and products to global markets, instead of focusing on the Chinese market like before. The products are Support of “Bring Your Own Key” (BYOK), Container Service for Kubernetes (ACK), Container Registry (ACR) Enterprise Edition, Smart Access Gateway (SAG) Software, SaaS Accelerator, and Alibaba Log Service (SLS).
According to Selina Yuan, President of Alibaba Cloud Intelligence International,

Moreover, the report 2019 from Gartner Research pointed out that the company collaborated with 08 regional partners to launch the “China Gateway Programme” at the APAC summit. Mr. Chee Hong Tat, Ministry of Education and Senior Minister of State for Ministry of Trade and Industry (Singapore) came and attended this signing ceremony.
The purposes of the programme are to support companies including SMEs as well as determine strategic plans to build and develop their businesses in the Chinese market. Through its partners in the region including Singapore, Alibaba Cloud will connect them with Chinese consumers and firms via the ecosystem of Alibaba. And next, it can set up a programme to promote business in its local market for these companies.

Talking about when the China Gateway Programme will be available in the SMEs market in India, Mr President said,

The Chief Product Officer of Alibaba Cloud Henry Zhang, who is responsible for establishing the plans for the Indian market, stated that

Alibaba Cloud was founded in 2009 and until now, the Chinese company has kept offer many kinds of cloud computing services for global businesses, from startups, public services, corporations, and merchants who do business on the company’s marketplaces.
