Often, billionaires and the upper crust pay attention to the degree of pleasure and luxury their forms of transport could bring. At times, more than just a form of transport, it becomes a public image and a statement of one’s prosperity and success level. Sometimes, billionaires and their vehicles are two aspects that can not be separated.
But that’s not always the case for every billionaire. Not every billionaire drives a crazily expensive car. Some of them keep on driving cars that will for sure be unable to reflect their actual status and cost way below what they can afford.
In any means, their cars are something they just use to move from destination to destination and not to impress anyone.
Look at the list of seven famous billionaire and their cars
1. Jeff Bezos
CEO of Amazon and the world’s richest man with total assets of about $128 billion, likes to travel around in an extremely modest car. He drives a 1996 Honda Accord, which would have cost about $4,000 at the present date.
2. Steve Ballmer

3. Jack Ma
Founder of Chinese internet giant-Alibaba and self-made billionaire, also drives in a mid-size SUV Roewe RX from SAIC, with a relatively decent price of around $25,000. Alibaba and SAIC teamed up to developed the car and named it as Internet car referring to the Internet of Things. Alibaba supervised and monitored the car’s infotainment system and operating system development.
4. Mark Zuckerberg
The sixth richest person, Facebook’s founder, and CEO lives a cost-effective and straightforward life. He refrains himself from wasting too much money on cars, clothes and traveling. His car collection consists of a Volkswagon GTI, a Honda Fit, and a black Acura TSX. None of which exceeds the $30,000 price tag.
5. Warren Buffet
Known as a successful investor and the CEO of Berkshire Hathway, with total assets of $80 billion rides a $55,000 2014 Cadillac XTS. He bought this car after Mary Barra, General Motors CEO, persuaded him to upgrade his Cadillac DTS purchased in 2006.
He put his Cadillac DTS up for auction. After that, he donated $122,500 from the auction to help Girls Incorporation. In the last ten years, Warren Buffet has donated a majority of his fortune to charity. $27.5 billion is his total contribution to charity organizations.
6. Jim Walton
Walmart founder-Sam Walton’s youngest son, Jim Walton is the Chairman of Arvest Bank. He owns a total net worth of $47.1 billion. The Walmart heirs’ combined wealth is $130 billion, which is even more than both Warren Buffet and Bill Gates.
He lives a quite modest life despite all of that massive amount of money as he drives a Dodge Dakota, a mid-sized pickup truck with an $8,845 price tag (the base model).
7. Michael Bloomberg
Bloomberg was founded in 1971, and its CEO is Michael Bloomberg. He has total assets of $45 billion. He continues to hold a stake of almost 88%. He is also a philanthropist as he has donated about $4 billion to many different social causes. His choice of vehicle is a $40,000 Chevrolet Suburban.
Rather than splurging money on luxurious and lavish lifestyles, these self-effacing billionaires show us that they are truly focused on their jobs and what they do. Well, at least for their choices of transport.
