2.3 Billion Bewildering Ads Banned Entirely From Google In 2018

In order to make it a safer website for everyone, Google has been working on banning misleading advertisements everyday for several years. Let's take a look at the result.

Google wants to make its website a safer place as well as protect its users from inappropriate and misleading advertisements. In the progress of carrying that out, Google made the first move on Thursday by announcing that it banned approximately 2.3 billion misleading advertisements for violating its 2018 policies in advertising.

In addition, the total number of new policies the tech giant offered this time reached up to 31. In its report regarding rule-breaking advertisements in 2018, it revealed that six million inappropriate advertisements were banned every single day.

More than that, there were countless advertisements that were terminated entirely from approximately 1.5 million different apps. Not just that, Google also took a step further by removing ads from about 28 million pages which have violated its publisher policies.
