The latest version of AirPods brings some big improvements, but Apple still has no way to eliminate the risk of users losing one of the two earbuds or even the charging case. The good news is everything can be replaced, and the bad news is replacement will come with a price.
Keeping all three pieces of accessories can be tough, especially when there is no wire to connect them to each other. For now, you will have to pay $69 (roughly Rs. 4,905) to have one new pod in the place of the missing one.
If the charging case goes missing, you can replace it with $59 (Rs. 4,194). Paying $79 (Rs. 5,617), and you will have the wireless charging version.
In case you have all of the three parts at hand, but one of them is not working properly, the one-year warranty of Apple can save you a lot of money. Within this time frame, you will be charged nothing for servicing a diminished battery.
If you are no longer covered in this warranty, servicing the charging case will set you back $49 (around Rs. 3,484); battery maintenance for one of the two pods will cost the same amount of money.
If for some reason, the merchant you purchase the AirPods from does not honor the warranty, you can always seek help at an Apple Store.
In case you do not live near an Apple Store, you can contact Apple Support, but they will ask for the serial number of the AirPods. Apple’s Express Replacement can also add to the comfortability. All you have to do is to call Apple Support, and they will tell you if your earbuds are still covered by the warranty.
If the answer is yes, they will ship the replacement pod or charging case to the address you designated. In turn, you will have to send Apple the defective product within ten days from the shipping date of the company.
