Xiaomi Introduces Smart Speaker Cum Alarm Clock With Virtual Assistant

On December 31, ZMI, a company belongs to Xiaomi’s ecosystem, just launched a new smart speaker cum alarm clock in the Chinese market. This is the latest product of ZMI with many built-in features and technological support from Xiaomi.

The smart speaker cum alarm clock of ZMI has a circular design with a flat-screen to display information. The background of the display is in black while the texts and other symbols are white, making it look minimalistic.

According to the manufacturer, this ZMI smart speaker cum alarm clock is equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 technology for connection. Its speakers use NdFeB with extremely high magnetism. The battery life is said to last up to 72 hours after each full charge. The device supports 30 different alarm sounds with built-in virtual assistant XiaoAI to enhance users’ experience.

ZMI smart speaker cum alarm clock will reportedly be available on the official website of Xiaomi starting from January 15. At the moment, the company has not revealed the official price for this product. However, it is expected to be sold at 100 yuan or around Rs 1,000.

In 2019, Xiaomi launched a series of smart products on its crowdfunding platform. Most of these products are smart home appliances that can connect to users’ smartphones. With these products, Xiaomi has built a huge ecosystem for customers in the Chinese market. However, Xiaomi India hasn't announced the launch of any of these products in the Indian market yet.
