With a good gaming keyboard, not only your performance is improved, but the game itself will be more enjoyable. A good keyboard can cost you much too, but you can still get one with mechanical switches and RGB lighting for an affordable price.

And here are the five top gaming keyboards that are under Rs 7,000 you can choose for yourself.

Logitech G413 Carbon

Price: Rs 4,823

Logitech always ensures the quality of its products even if it’s a lower-end model like the G413. The keyboard houses Romer-G Tactile switches, featuring a slim, sturdy, and simple design finished with aluminum-magnesium alloy brushes on the top case. On its back right, there is a braided USB cable mounted with a USB passthrough port; underneath it are channels for mouse, and there is also headset cable management.

If you like the sound and the feel of key presses, the tactile switch of G413 is probably not the best for you as it’s relatively quiet when actuated. The keyboard has only one backlight color, red. Logitech has also added 12 faceted keycaps to this product.

Thanks to the G Hub software, you can set up macros as well as custom F1-F12 buttons’ functions. And in the game mode, the Windows key will shut off.

Razer Cynosa Chroma

Price: Rs 3,103

This is a gaming keyboard that reminds you of an office one. As a membrane keyboard, the keys of the Cynosa are quiet and give a softer feel compared with the others in this list. You need to press a bit hard to get the keys down. However, if you prefer a product you can use for both gaming and working, this one is a good choice.

In addition, the Cynosa is the most programmable among the keyboards in this list. You can choose among the preset lighting effects or make your own with the Synapse 3.0 software. The keyboard also comes with Hypershift feature, allowing you to set up another function for each key that you can access by pressing Shift plus the key you choose. The software lets you set macros and rebind keys too.

If a loud clicky keyboard is not your favorite, you should really consider the Cynosa.

Aukey KM-G6

Price: Rs 2,483

Using Outemu Blue switches, the G6 is clicky and you will surely feel the actuation point, but they are really loud. And its keycaps lie on the small side, so you may make mistakes while gaming and typing before getting familiar with it.

There are not many features coming with this keyboard, no macro keys, no software for you to install. There is only one backlight color for each row; however, you can choose from nine lighting modes and create two lighting effects of your own.

Redragon K561 Visnu

Price: Rs 2,760

This waterproof keyboard is made from aluminum and ABS plastic. The K561 also uses Outemu Blue switches like the Aukey, so it’s clicky, tactile, and apparently loud. However, the keycaps are a bit bigger, which is suitable for those with wider, rounder fingertips. If you don’t need or want a numberpad, this keyboard may suit you too.

The Redragon K561 Visnu

Compared with Razer and Logitech, the software of the Redragon is amateurish. This keyboard lets you set up one-key macros and as many as three profiles. There is not any control over setting backlight for each key. You can select from 19 light patterns, change brightness, speed as well as the direction of light movement.

Logitech G613 Wireless

Price: Rs 6,799

We hardly see wireless gaming keyboards because you don’t want to get lagged while playing games, of course. However, the G613 works, as well as wired keyboards; and a pair of AA-size batteries helps it last up to 18 months. Additionally, there are six programmable buttons on the left side of the keyboard. But it doesn’t have backlights, which is a disadvantage when you play games in the dark.

Like the G413, this device uses Romer-G tactile mechanical switches.

Corsair K57 RGB Wireless

Price: Rs 6,009

The K57 is for those who like lights and wireless. with rubber-dome switches and a pronounced actuation point, this one feels more like an office keyboard. If you play games using this keyboard, you will have press harder than with mechanical ones, and you have only eight keys for rollover.

However, you will have a decent experience. It can connect wirelessly to your computer through low-latency Bluetooth or the 2.4GHz Slipstream tech from Croisair that relies on a USB-A adapter for lag-free gameplays. You can also wire it using the Micro-USB cable that also charges the device. Its battery life is not the longest but it surely can get you through many days.

Additionally, on the left, there are macro keys while on the right, there are discrete media controls. Corsair's software is also straightforward, meaning it's easy to create custom keyboard as well as set up the macro keys.

AmazonBasics Mechanical Feel Gaming Keyboard

Price: 2,686

This product is included in this list only because it's rated high on Amazon, but it's not as good as the others we mentioned above. This keyboard is generic, huge, and clunky, its design is not as good and it's nowhere near a true mechanical keyboard.

But it does offer decent gaming features for its price, such as arrow keys, gray keycaps for the WASD, 15 macro keys, and RGB lighting.
