TF Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is called an Apple prophet for his very accurate predictions about the upcoming Apple products. Just recently, he has predicted which products Apple will launch in 2021.
The first product in the prediction of Kuo is the AirTags, an item tracker. The device will be integrated with the U1 Ultra Wideband chip to help locate items accurately using the Find My app on iPhone and iPad. AirTags can help you find a stray dog or a lost key with ease.
Another highly-anticipated device from Apple is the virtual reality glasses called Apple Glass. Previously, Kuo said that Apple Glass wouldn’t come out sooner than 2022. But, according to his latest assessment, the glasses could be launched in 2021. Despite the previous failure of Google Glass or Snap Spectacles, it seems like Apple is confident that it won’t follow the footsteps of Google and Snap.
Also according to Kuo, Apple will launch a number of new iPad models this year including versions with mini LED screens. It is expected that around 40% of the new iPad models in 2021 will have mini LED displays. The new screen can help improve brightness, contrast, and save battery life.
Apple will also launch new AirPods in 2021. They could be named the AirPods Pro Lite and will replace the regular AirPods line. The AirPods Pro Lite will have the exact same design as the AirPods Pro minus the active noise cancellation feature. They will also be cheaper.
In 2021, Apple will continue its plan to switch from using Intel chips to Apple Silicon chips for its computers and laptops. The 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro will be the next in line. They are expected to have the ARM chips.
And of course, Apple will release four new iPhone 13 models. A recent source states that all four of them will have LiDAR sensors, just like the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max.
