Samsung Galaxy View 2 is Samsung’s candidate in the tablet sector. The device measures 17 inches and features 1080p. AT&T is distributing it. This massive size means that it is essentially a portable TV that has Android as the operating system. Of course, AT&T hopes that the device will boost the popularity of its future streaming service, or at least, its DirectTV Now.

You may see from the name of the device that the Galaxy View 2 is not Samsung’s first tablet that has the size of a small TV. The first version was introduced back in 2015 and priced at $599 (about Rs. 41.972). So with this newer variant, we have no reason to believe that customers can enjoy a lower price.
The large screen and the durable 12,000 mAh battery might sound appealing but what goes on the inside is not exactly impressive. The chipset is the eight-core 1.6GHz Exynos 7884 while RAM is 3GB, and inbuilt storage is 64GB. The device features a 5MP camera on the front, but that is it for the photo taking department, which makes sense because not many people will find the idea of taking pictures with a 17-inch tablet pleasant.
With that large screen, Samsung hopes that its users will have a good experience when streaming videos on the device. That is why it adds a quad speaker arrangement that has Dolby Atmos. Other features include NumberSync and LTE. You can also make calls on the device and even share your phone number, thanks to the service AT&T provides.
The Galaxy view two will come at a price of $740 (about Rs. 51.800), which now costs an average person $37 a month (about Rs, 2.592). The device will be out for sales on the 26th of April.
This price means that even the screen is smaller, the new variant is also more expensive than the first one. If you are the kind of viewers who ask for a massive screen all the time, the Galaxy View 2 fits the bill. However, if you are not, opting for a cheaper and more compact device might be a good idea.
