Other leaked official-looking photos of Galaxy Watch Active 2 have been released ahead of the smartwatch’s launch on August 5. These new renders show the upcoming wearable from every angle imaginable and in all of its color options.
The latest images shared by Android Headlines also give us a look at the blue color variant, which is shown for the very first time. The new color, whose name is still not known, is a pale blue one, replacing the green shade in the original Galaxy Watch Active.
It appears from the renders that the watch will be sold with a special sports strap made of silicone rather than a leather one according to previous leaks.
In addition to the colors, the latest leaks also reveal an overview of the upcoming smartwatch’s hardware. The wearable will include new heart rate sensors, speaker grills, and rectangular power buttons.
There will also be a red ring around the home button of the device, which is to signify either the LTE connectivity or ECG monitor support as reported in past renders. Based on some rumors, the watch’s interface will be navigated with an innovative new touch-based bezel instead of the rotating one used on several of Samsung’s previous smartwatches.
The wearable is rumored to come in two different sizes, the 40 mm with 1.2-inch displays and the 44 mm with 1.4-inch ones. The former model is believed to include a 247mAh battery, whereas the bigger watch is expected to have larger battery capacities of 340mAh. Moreover, it is possible that the company will feature an Exynos 9110 chipset, which is a dual-core processor, inside the Galaxy Watch. There is 4GB of onboard storage on the watch, paired with 750MB of RAM.
Samsung has confirmed on its website that the Galaxy Watch Active 2 will be officially announced on August 5, which is two days before the introduction of the Note 10.
