New AirPods 3 Concept Design With Matte Black Color

Apple is reportedly working on the third generation of its wireless earbuds AirPods. If everything goes according to plan, it is likely that the AirPods 3 will be introduced in an event at the end of this month. However, if the production line isn’t ready, Apple may delay the release date until the beginning of 2020.

Based on all the leaks, Phone Industry just announced the concept design of AirPods 3.

A new color

The most prominent change in the design of the AirPods 3 is its dimensions, with one-third of the length cut off, compared to the two previous versions. However, the earbuds are much bigger. The new wireless earbuds are said to have a brand new noise-cancellation feature. And for the first time, Apple will use rubber tips to increase sound insulation.

Besides the traditional white color, with AirPods 3, users will have two new options: glossy black and matte black.

However, there’s nothing to confirm these rumors but it would be great if the AirPods also come in black, like its iPhone counterpart.

Noise-cancellation and waterproof

The most notable feature of the AirPods 3 will be that the noise-cancellation feature can be adjusted. The code in iOS 13 reveals that the new earbuds will have different listening modes, including Focus Mode which once activated will cancel all the noises from the surrounding environments.

Another important upgrade is waterproof, which does not come in the two previous versions. This means you don’t have to worry when wearing your precious earbuds under the rain.

Release date and pricing

A previous report suggested that the new earbuds from Apple will be released on October 2019, probably in the same event with the new iPad Pro and MacBook Pro 16 inch. But it’s possible that Apple may delay the release date until March next year. The earbuds will be released along with the iPhone SE 2.

There has been no information in terms of pricing. But with a lot of upgrades, the new wireless earbuds are expected to be more expensive than the two previous versions. The price may be varied, from $249 to $299. The case of the AirPods 3 will also get a new design and comes with wireless charging.
