The NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) has been around for 34 years. Ever since the debut of the console in 1985 in North America, it has been the inspiration for nerds all over the globe. What we have is a controller with a box-like shape, matte black, red, and gray finish.
The newest product inspired by the NES is the 8BitDo N30, a wireless mouse made by 8BitDo. It is available to order at $24.99.
8BitDo has been known for a long as a provider of top-end gaming peripherals and controllers. So it comes as no surprise that it launches a mouse, but what people find unusual is the look of the device.
The person behind this design is Daniel Jansson, a Swedish industrial designer. He made a foam model back in 2009, which made the headlines for some time. It was not until this year that the design was brought to life by Jansson and 8BitDo.
Between the buttons there is a 3D touch panel to facilitate scrolling. On the side sits a D-pad for website navigating, meaning you can page backward and forward in the same way you control Mario when playing Super Mario Bros.
What is interesting about this mouse is that it can give users from 100 to 120 hours of operation with only one AA battery.
The mouse will remind you of Nintendo in the 1980s, of course with roundness in needed areas to provide a more comfortable experience for users. You will be able to scroll much like normal mice and the left and right buttons are the same as that on NES gamepad.
