With the hope to take on similar smartwatches from other famous brands including Samsung and Apple, Huawei has revealed its plan to roll out Watch GT 2 – the upgraded version of Watch GT – on September 19. That means it will be officially launched along with the Mate 30 smartphone. Last year, the Chinese tech company released a revolutionary smartwatch called Watch GT that has brought a promising experience of great battery life to its wearers.

Instead of any rumor or leak, the announcement of the latest smartwatch from Huawei was published by itself via a Weibo video. In this promo video, the manufacturer showcased its product that is powered by Kirin A1 – a new-generation chip for wearable devices.
According to the report from Gizchina on September 07, the upcoming smartwatch will be equipped with a 445mAh battery, which will obviously allow wearers to use it in a longer time than the previous version with a 420mAh battery. The Watch GT, in fact, can operate within 14 consecutive days.

When it comes to the connectivity, the Watch GT 2 is equipped with LTE connectivity. Another notable thing hails from its capabilities to support GPS and sensors that allow users to keep track of their heart rate. The previous leaks also revealed that this upgraded version may have the more sophisticated design, for example, smaller bezels surrounding the display. However, the Watch GT 2 doesn't seem to have many differences over the original.
In late 2018, in addition to the Mate 20 Pro, Huawei first rolled out the Watch GT. The smartwatch is designed with a 1.39-inch AMOLED color display, a 10.6-mm thick body, along with lots of other impressive functional specifications. It also has ceramic bezels and two stainless steel crowns.
