Huawei MatePad Tablet Launched: 7,250mAh Battery, Kirin 810, Stylus Support, All That For Around Rs. 20,500

The Huawei MatePad is a watered-down version of the Huawei MatePad Pro 5G with a mid-range chipset, massive battery, and M-Pencil stylus support.

At the moment, only Samsung and Huawei are the two big brands that are still interested in the tablet segment. The latter launched a high-end tablet late last year called Huawei MatePad Pro 5G with a Kirin 990 SoC. Now, the brand releases a new tablet called Huawei MatePad, which a cut-down version of the MatePad Pro 5G.
Huawei MatePad: Price & Availability
Regarding the price, the device is sold in two color options, Fritillary White and Night Ash. It is priced at CNY 1,899, which is equivalent to around Rs. 20,500 for the Wifi version and 4GB RAM / 64GB storage. The Wifi + LTE version will cost CNY 2,499, equivalent to around Rs. 26,900. The tablet is slated to hit the stores in China from April 26. For now, there is no word on the Huawei MatePad launch date in India or other markets.
Huawei MatePad: Specifications & Features
The device features a 10.4-inch IPS LCD panel with a 2000 x 1200 resolution. The screen bezels of the device are designed quite evenly on all four sides. All four sides of the tablet are slightly curved for a more comfortable grip. Both the frame and back panel of the phone are made of aluminum.
In terms of performance, the Huawei MatePad is equipped with a mid-range Kirin 810 chip, aided by 4GB or 6GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB storage, with support for storage expansion via a microSD card slot up to 512GB. Powering the phone is a whopping 7,250 mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging technology.
For photography, it is equipped with an 8MP camera on the front and an 8MP single camera on the back, with autofocus and LED support. In addition, Huawei's new tablet will also support the M-Pencil stylus, allowing users to easily create sketches and take notes directly on the screen similar to Apple's high-end iPad lineup, Of course, this stylus accessory is not included and need to be purchased separately.
