Huawei MatePad Pro Announced With Kirin 990 SoC & 7,250mAh Battery

Huawei MatePad Pro is the latest tablet from Huawei with a Kirin 990 SoC, M-Pencil stylus, and 7,250mAh battery as key highlights.

Today, at the launch event, Huawei introduced its new tablet model called Huawei MatePad Pro. The new tablet measures 159 x 246 x 7.2 mm, weighs 460 grams, and is equipped with a 10.8 inch IPS LCD screen. Its display has a punch-hole at the top left corner, QuadHD + resolution, support for DCI-P3 color gamut and occupies up to 90% of the front.
Huawei MatePad Pro: Availability & Price
It is known that MatePad Pro will officially go on sale from 12 December with multiple color options - Danxia Orange, Castle Peak, Fritillaria White, and Night Ash. The price of the tablet are as follows:
MatePad Pro Wi-Fi version
6GB RAM + 128GB storage - CNY 3,299 (around Rs. 33,500).
8GB RAM + 256GB storage - CNY 3,399 (around Rs. 34,600).
MatePad Pro LTE version
6GB RAM + 128GB storage - CNY 3,799 (around Rs. 38,600).
8GB RAM + 256GB storage - CNY 4,499 (around Rs. 45,800).
If you want to own the magnetic keyboard cover and M-Pencil stylus, you need to spend additional costs of CNY 499 (around Rs. 5,100) and CNY 699 (around Rs. 7,100), respectively.
At today's event, the Chinese company also revealed that it will announce the MatePad Pro version with 5G connectivity in Q1 2020.
Huawei MatePad Pro: Specifications
Inside the MatePad Pro is a 7 nm Kirin 990 processor alongside 8GB of RAM, 512GB of expandable storage. It is fueled by a massive 7,250 mAh battery with support for 40W fast charging solution, 15W wireless charging, and 7.5W reverse charging.
In addition, Huawei also equips MatePad Pro with a 13 MP main camera with f / 1.8 aperture on the back and an 8 MP selfie camera at the front, along with an M-Pencil stylus that supports 4,096 different levels of pressure.
The remaining specifications of MatePad Pro include EMUI 10 interface, 4 external speakers with Histen 6.0 audio technology. Connection features include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS (LTE version only), magnet port for removable keyboards, and USB-C charging port.
Unfortunately, Huawei doesn’t equip the tablet with a fingerprint sensor and remove the 3.5mm headphone jack on the device.
