On September 12, HTC announced its plan to launch the latest virtual reality (VR) headset called Vive Cosmos in the Indian market in the festive season next month.
Raymond Pao, who now serves as the HTC Vive Senior Vice President of Product and Strategy said:
In a bid to meet the demands of VR customers, designers of the Vive Cosmos focus on developing major characteristics such as versatility, high performance, as well as easy-to-use capability. In addition, users don’t need to spend as much time setting up the tracking system of this VR headset as its predecessors. Designed with up to 6 camera sensors, it must bring wider viewing angles and improve the accuracy of the inside-out tracking system.
In terms of specifications, the HTC Vive Cosmos flaunts a dual 3.4-inch LCD diagonal display with a resolution of 2880 x 1700 pixels combined, 90Hz refresh rate. It can connect to PC via one of the following connectivity including DisplayPort 1.2 and USB 3.0. As committed by HTC, this VR headset with the “superior ergonomics” must enhance users’ VR experience.
