An inbuilt trackpad makes it much more convenient for us to navigate on the laptop without having to carry an extra device. However, the mouse still offers the versatility and precision that the trackpad cannot catch up with, especially in creative work and gaming. The mouse also allows for prolonged periods of use while your fingers may get numbed if using the trackpad for a long time.
But now, there’s a solution to both the problems, a mouse that’s so compact you won’t have trouble carrying it on the go.
Dubbed CheerPod, this tiny mouse is as small as a lighter and can work with a macOS or Windows device via Bluetooth. It houses left and right buttons you can click on to make selections. However, the device also features multi-touch functionality, meaning by placing different numbers of fingers on top, you can either scroll documents and web pages, activate shortcuts, or switch apps and windows.
In case there’s no space available for you to place the mouse next to the laptop, the CheerPod packs a gyroscope that allows you to control the cursor on the laptop just by holding the mouse in your hand, moving it around. You can even use it to control slideshows, it has a laser pointer too.
However, it may take you some time to master the CheerPod. For example, you have to learn to not place too many fingers on the mouse. Also, its compact size makes it feel different from a real mouse too, it doesn’t fill the palm of your hand. But once you’ve got used to it, the trade-off is worth it. The tiny mouse requires very little space in your laptop backpack, you can even put it in your pocket or shirt pocket.
If you don’t like the inbuilt trackpad on your laptop and miss the traditional mouse, you should try the CheerPod and see how it goes.
