Apple Pencil 2: Everything You Must Know About The Pressure-Sensitive Tool

After 3 years, Apple finally rolled out the second digital stylus pen, Apple Pencil 2.

At the new product launch event in Brooklyn, New York City, Apple introduced the latest models for the MacBook Air, iPad Pros and Apple Pencil known as Apple Pencil 2. Of which, the Apple Pencil 2 is the much expected pressure-sensitive tool.

The Apple Pencil acts as an accessory for the iPad Pro 2018. For this product, Apple mainly aims to those who often draw, write or edit photos on the tablet. They may be artists, writers or professional designers.

It’s easy to understand if there is a comparison between the new Apple accessory and other styluses available in the market. Some most popular styluses include Surface Pen by Microsoft and Pixelbook Pen by Google.

Apple Pencil 2, also known as Apple Pencil 2018, features many new improvements over the first-generation model. It must be an indispensable tool when you need to handle your work with pixel-perfect precision. Also, Apple created a new look for the second version. Apple Pencil 2 possesses a more minimalistic design and removes some allegedly unnecessary details in its predecessor.

What are the other improvements? The first thing you should know is charging. Instead of using a Lightning connector lying under the end cap of the iPad Pros, you will have a chance to experience the inductive charging. In other words, Apple applied the principles of the electromagnetic field to supply power for the Apple Pencil from the iPad Pro 2018.

The next thing, you will easily move among the Pencil’s functions by double-tapping its sides. The functions may be different according to the apps in use.

Apple confirmed that the digital stylus pen will start at $129 in the US (Rs 9,381). Its price is $30 higher than the Apple Pencil 1.

However, the bad news for those who are planning to buy an Apple Pencil 2 is that it only works with the iPad Pros 2018. That means if you want to experience its interesting features, you must have an iPad Pros 2018 in advance. The second-generation digital stylus doesn’t work with iPhones or Macs as well.

The last fun fact about the Apple Pencil 2018, it can stick anywhere in the edges of the iPad Pros because Apple designed up to 102 magnets around its iPad Pros.
