Apple released renewed version of MacBook Air and Mac mini at its October Event 2018 last week. Additionally, Apple based in Cupertino had introduced their modified version of iPad Pro, which comes with two variants – 12.9-inch and 11-inch. Both versions’ screens top out at 600 nits.
Both forms of iPad Pro (2018) are basically the same, with the exception of their size. The variants are specially made for content creators and the professionals. Therefore, the A12X Bionic SoC was installed inside the iPad, which is an extension of the A12 Bionic. The A12 Bionic is used to power the following versions of iPhone: XR, XS Max, and XS.
It is obvious that the A12X Bionic is powerful. There has recently been a report about iPad Pro scores on Geekbench which was similar to MacBook Pro 15-inch version that is powered by Hexa-Core Intel Core i7. After that, there is one other set of scores that has asserted the true capability of the refreshed iPad Pro (2018).
Based on the information given by the GSMArena, a comparison was given between the A12 Bionic in the iPhones 2018 and the A12X Bionic in the 11-inch form of the iPad Pro. The device scored a total of 557,679 points on AnTuTu, which beat the A12 Bionic by over 50% on the same platform.
The total score includes four factors – Central Unit Processors (CPUs), User’s Experience (UX), Memory and Graphics Processing Unit (GPU). The biggest difference between A12 and A12X was the major increase in the GPU department. The SoC powering iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max received 153,514 points, the chipset powering the new flagship of Apple managed a score of 315,108, which is almost twice. The GPU score boost is apparently the fruition of the development for the new iPad Pro.
A 12.9-inch iPad Pro along with a Smart Keyboard Folio starts at $1,198.
