Xiaomi – a Chinese tech company which has been gaining a lot of success by cloning products of Apples–has announced their AirDots, a competitor of AirPods with the price of just $29 (Rs. 2,098).

The Chinese phone maker has been known for copying many of Apple’s signature features. From replicating the iOS’s look to its Android overlays to a clone of Apple’s iPad mini, they also copied ads of Apple. Even its CEO was using a similar dressing of the former Apple CEO Steve Jobs with black turtleneck polo and blue jeans.

Copying Apple seems like the approach Xiami is taking to be the top tech companies
Xiao has been trying to appear less blatant as their charging case or AirDots are visually similar to Apple’s Airpods. But the name and the white color are surely designed to associate its product with Apple’s products.
There is no doubt that the AirPods is the top product that Apple has launched in the last few years. For the price of $169, you can get a pair of wireless earbuds that has similar look with the regular iPhone earbud.
They are not only easy to pair but also deliver an impressive sound experience. They also include several smart built-in features. But Xiaomi is now heating up the competition by releasing its new AirDots, a competitor of Apple’s AirPods.
Quality of this new AirDots highly unlikely matches AirPods’ quality and obviously they will not benefit from the pairing system of Apple. This new Xiaomi pair of earbuds can wireless charge via a carrying case and users can recharge it three times with the case for a battery life of 12 hours.
They can also connect to phones via Bluetooth 5.0 and even support user interaction as you can tap on its sell to trigger some specific commands.
Obviously, they still lack many interesting features of the AirPods but, with the price of only $29 (Rs. 2,097), there will be many people waiting to buy the devices, at least in China.
Xiaomi still does not mention whether they will release the AirDots in the international markets but, people can start pre-ordering the Xiaomi’s AirDots from November 11th.
