Former Yahoo Employee Hacked 6,000 Accounts For Sexual Photos

After succeeding in accessing to the victims’ Yahoo accounts, Ruiz utilized password resets from third-party sites and broke into Facebook, DropBox, Apple iCloud, Gmail, as well as many other accounts. ZDNet reported that this former Yahoo employee worked as an engineer of Yahoo! Mail for over 10 years. In addition, he also held many other roles in this company. He is now working for a tech firm that specializes in providing sign-on solutions. Ruiz will probably be sentenced to a maximum of 5 years in prison on February 03, 2020.

Besides, this is not the first time Verizon-owned Yahoo has got hacked. In the past, it had to pay up to $117.5 million for nearly 200 million affected users in a data breach.
