Watch How This Man Flew Across The Solent In An Iron Man-Style Jet Suit

British inventor Richard Browning wearing his Iron Man-style jet suit successfully flew across the Solent to the Isle of Wight to deliver a letter.

Back in 1934, Gerhard Zucker, who was a German entrepreneur, made an attempt to deliver a letter using a rocket to the Isle of Wight, which is an island off the southern coast of England. But unfortunately, he failed to do so.

2019, 85 years later, the stunt has now been pulled off successfully by British inventor Richard Browning. However, rather than a rocket with an attached letter, the man hand-delivered it wearing his Iron Man-style jet suit. The flight was successful and broke the record for personal flights.

Engines are strapped around the arms of the wearer.

BBC News story reported that, Browning put on his suit and flew from Hurst Castle in Lymington across the Solent to reach Fort Albert which is on the Isle of Wight.

It took Browning 75 seconds and 1.3 kilometers to complete his journey. It was the longest distance Brown has ever flown wearing his jet suit.

A video of the flight was uploaded by Gravity Industries, Browning’s company. And it all depends on how you feel about having jet engines strapped to your arms, the flight could have been downright terrifying or just incredibly peaceful.

Browning’s opinion about his flight? “When you’re dealing with technology you never quite know, but yeah, that was great,” he said.
