VR Sex Helmet: The Future Of Porn Or A Nightmare?

L.A based VR Bangers is working on a VR helmet with 8K cameras and interior screens for adult entertainment.

Technology has generated a lot of innovations across various fields, and now pornography too. The next generation of porn could lie in a spider helmet with VR cameras.

VR Bangers is a company based in Los Angeles, USA, which makes and distributes virtual reality adult entertainment. On Tuesday, the company revealed a concept design expected to be used on its upcoming VR capture camera rig that we may use for porn in the future.

According to Bangers, the device looks like a futuristic helmet, has seven cameras with resolution up to 8K, attached around the helmet for a view of 300 degrees. The helmet will come with a pair of built-in binaural microphones and a system to stabilize the cameras.

The best part, as stated by the company, is that the screens inside the helmet will display footage of an adult performer who wears it in real time. This selling point seems better regarding the previous camera technology of VR Bangers: a bald mannequin head, whose eyes are attached with two cameras.

Bangers said it is doing tests on a 3D-printed prototype, and it doesn’t intend to sell this technology.

Igor Zhivago, marketing director at VR Bangers, wrote in an email that virtual reality is getting more and more popular, hence there’re already some major players in this field. For now, Bangers will maintain their competitive advantage as well as exclusively use these rigs for their products.

With the Head Rig 2.0 already being used for filming, producers can take advantage of that success to sell this helmet to potential customers who find interests in interactive and immersive adult entertainment.

We are witnessing the growth of VR porn. As revealed by Pornhub, in only a year, there was a remarkable increase of 250 percent in the number of daily VR porn views.

Other firms are joining the race too. Naughty America is working on new sex toys that feature haptic feedback as well as experiments in virtual reality. At the same time, Abyss Creation is developing AI sex dolls that can talk with their owners.
