Uber Is Testing A New Pass That Covers Transportation And Eats

This new Pass might combine discounts for Uber ride, free deliveries from Eats, and Jump trips.

Uber is in the progress test out a new subscription option which offers discounted or all-inclusive access to all of its services. They are trailing different variants of this plan in San Francisco and Chicago. Those variants include free deliveries from Uber Eats, trips on scooters and e-bikes of Jump, and discount for Uber rides for 24.99 dollars a month. While in other locations, they are testing Passes with a lower price including discounted rides, and free deliveries on Uber Eats for orders above a certain threshold.

Uber 1 — This new test has brought Uber Eats into the game.

From the look of it, this test might be an expansion from the Ride Pass. Subscribers pay an amount of fee each month to get discounts prices on rides. This Ride Pass costs around 15 dollars in some places. While it costs 24.99 dollars in places where there are scooters and e-bikes. Mainly because you could ride those for free in 30 minutes max with Ride Pass. So this new test has brought Uber Eats into the game.

Uber 2 — From the look of it, this test might be an expansion from the Ride Pass. It is where subscribers pay an amount of fee each month to get discounted rides.

It might get permanent

We have to wait and see if this all-in-one new pass will be roll out in more places or not. In a recent statement, Uber has said that they want to be the one who full-fill all of your daily needs from wheels to meals.

If the company decides to implement this plan like a permanent subscription option on a large scale, it will be a big strike at its competitors. Like Lyft and their All-Access option which offer users a number of rides each month. Meanwhile, Postmates, another competitor, also offers its subscribers unlimited free deliveries.
