According to the police in Auburn Hills, Michigan, two pranksters had allegedly entered a building nearby a billboard then hacked it and used this public screen to display pornography!
At that time, a lot of drivers were amazed while suddenly catching this unexpected footage. However, many others found it confused a lot. As reported, the video was shown for more than 15 minutes before local officials arrived and phone to an emergency contact of the operator. The sign along with controversial video finally was turned off.
In the meantime, Motherboard has identified two of the pranksters who were behind this funny incident. Furthermore, one of them even gave a short interview with Motherboard while telling that one of her main concerns was about the safety of those drivers when expressing how happy he was because no one got injured with their trolling content.
In the police’s side, such things actually did not bring them any joy. On the official page of the Police Department in Auburn Hills, there is a recording of what pranksters did do with the sign. After they got into the building, they made use of a phone to detect an infrared camera. In a matter of seconds, they made it turn toward a wall so all their hijinks later were kept behind the closed door.
According to a press released by Auburn Hills Police Department, they might have to face a penalty of up to 90 days in jail and a $500 fine. However, the motivation for this bizarre prank is still unclear. Now, Michigan drivers can continue passing through this billboard without any distraction.
