Shocking Twitter Video: Elephant Was Hit By Train & Succumbed To Injuries

Along with the rapid development, human has invaded and even eradicated wildlife. We cut down trees and build railway tracks to go through forests by train. In spite of the advantages of modern technologies, we can’t deny the disaster that humans have caused for the wildlife in the forest.

Elephants, as well as many other animals, often move through the railway tracks to approach the other side of the forest. That’s why they can accidentally become victims of trains at high speed. The video showing an elephant hit by a train has been going viral on Twitter is such an example.

The incident took place in West Bengal on September 29. On Twitter, Parveen Kaswan, IFS, shared a pitiful video recording where the elephant was found. It was seriously injured and every support meant useless. Although the flesh on its legs got deep lacerations, it was still trying its best to stand on its feet.

The video has got much more attention when celebrities including Sonu Sood and Randeep Hooda also tweeted it and expressed their opinion saying that human needs to attend more to these kinds of incidents.

The video may make you shocked; however, similar incidents take place every day in many other places in India and will continue happening if we still keep expanding new infrastructure. It is obvious that humans are the scariest species on Earth, instead of any other species.

The latest posts on Twitter concerning the real situation of this poor elephant were continuously updated by Parveen Kaswan. According to reports, the forest officials gave the IFS a hand in this incident.

Unfortunately, the elephant was unable to overcome due to its extremely serious injuries. One day after being detected, on September 30, it was gone.

The advancement of humans apparently leads to the perdition of other creatures. On his tweet, IFS Kaswan also pointed out that this was not the first the incident relating to railway tracks. While we have made great efforts to save species in danger of extinction, we seem to forget the wildlife in the forest. It’s time for both authorities and each of us to take practical actions to protect these animals because each life is equally valuable.
