1. Arjun MBT

Origin: India

The first vehicle is the main battle tank designed by a lab of the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Combat Vehicles Research and Development Establishment. It comes with a main rifled tank gun and can carry a crew with four members including commander, loader, gunner, and driver.

2. T-72 Ajeya

Origin: Soviet Union

It is manufactured by Heavy Vehicles Factory, at Avadi, Chennai. The Indian Army then upgraded it to Combat Improved Ajeya standard. This kind of vehicle is equipped with the modern armour technology - Explosive Reactive Armour (or ERA) along with many other improvements.

3. T-90S “Bhishma” & T-90M

Origin: Russia

The T-90 comes with a 125mm/L48 smoothbore cannon and its operational range can reach up to 700 km.

Origin: India

Ordnance Factory Medak or OFMK manufactured the BMP-2 Sarath or Chariot of Victory. This vehicle originates from the Soviet Union. There have been now over 900 vehicles in services.

8. CMT or Carrier Mortar Tracked

As one of the popular vehicles of the Indian Army, the NBC Reconnaissance vehicle was designed by both VRDE and DRDO to detect biological, nuclear, as well as chemical contamination.

10. DRDO Armoured Ambulance

Origin: India

Like the Carrier Mortar Tracked (CMT), it also hails from the Combat Vehicles Research and Development Establishment, DRDO. The Ordnance Factory Medak was the one to manufacture this tracked vehicle.

12. Bridge Laying Tank MT-55

Origin: Soviet Union

Manufactured by the Soviet Union, this armored vehicle-launched bridge tank is designed with a T-55 medium tank chassis. The MT-55 has a lot of different variants from MT-55A, MT-55KS to PM-55, and the Indian Army often uses the MT-55KS or Bridge Laying Tank MT-55.

13. Kartik ABL

Origin: India

As the fifth product designed by the Combat Vehicles Research & Development Establishment, DRDO, the Kartik ABL has a Vijayanta chassis. Its manufacturer is Heavy Vehicles Factory.

14. Sarvatra

Origin: India

The truck-mounted mobile bridging system was designed by the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) for the Indian Army. Its length reaches 75 meters.

15. T-72 Bridge Layer Tank (BLT)

Origin: India

This T-72 Bridge Layer Tank is designed by CVRDE, DRDO and produced by Heavy Vehicles Factory. There are now 12 T-72 BLT in service by the Indian Army.

16. Canal Embankment Assault Equipment or CEASE

Origin: India

Designed by the Research and Development Establishment, it is considered as a special version of bridging systems. The Indian Army now possesses 06 CEASE.

17. Armoured Engineer Reconnaissance Vehicle or AERV

Origin: India

The Research & Development Establishment partnered with C-TEC to develop this military engineering vehicle for the Indian Army. The AERV specializes in conducting riverbed and terrestrial surveys to help the army build assault bridges across obstacles in the water. It is used in both defensive and offensive operations in all of the following terrains including riverine, desert, and plains.

18. DRDO Daksh

Origin: India

As a remotely controlled robot, the DRDO Daksh is designed to locate, tackle, and destroy dangerous objects safety. More notably, it is completely automated and can neutralize NBC weapons.

19. Casspir

Origin: South Africa

Casspir is a type of mine-resistant ambush-protected vehicle. It has been used in South Africa for more than 30 years. With its capabilities in transporting troops, the Indian Army has now had 90 units in service.

20. Tarmour AFV

Origin: India

This vehicle is a combination of old-fashioned T55 inventories and modern Armoured Fighting Vehicles (AFV). And therefore, it has a lot of similar characteristics as main battle tanks such as good protection, impressive maneuverability, and mobility.

21. Hydrema Mine Clearing Vehicle

Origin: Denmark

This vehicle is designed to clear mine areas rapidly. In 2004, the Indian Army used it to handle missions like removing anti-tank mines with the 3.5-meter width.

22. Aditya Mine Protected Vehicle (MVP)

Origin: India

Designed by DRDO and manufactured by the Ordnance Factory Board, this kind of vehicle offers advanced protection for troops in dangerous counter-terrorism operations.
