However, the veteran actor doesn’t want to stop there. Recently, it is reported that Tom Cruise is working with tech billionaire Elon Musk and NASA to travel to space to shoot a blockbuster movie.
It is likely that this will be the very first project to be shot in space, not needing CGI technology or any other similar technique. Currently, information regarding the script, content, production studio, the writing team, and the director is kept hidden.
In fact, Hollywood’s ambition to film in space has already sparked a few years ago. For example, director Colin Trevorrow once revealed that he wanted to shoot a few scenes of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in space. But that never came true as Colin was forced to leave this project halfway. And until now, there has been no film that has actually been shot in space.

Although this project of Cruise and Musk has yet to be confirmed, there are reasons to believe that the pair has the capabilities to actually deploy this daring plan. Tom Cruise has also been known for his thrilling action scenes. And every time he returns to the screen, he will surprise people with more dangerous scenes that make your heart racing.
In Mission: Impossible series, Cruise climbed to the top of the Buji Khalifa building which is 830 meters high. In Rough Nation, he clung to the side of a taking-off plane and hung from a helicopter in Fallout. So there is probably a no better option than going to outer space.
Meanwhile, Elon Musk has always been interested in Hollywood projects and appeared as a cameo in blockbuster movies like Iron Man 2, Rick and Morty, or South Park. With the state-of-the-art rocket technology of SpaceX and the crew of experts from NASA, the plan to bring Tom Cruise into place to shoot a movie is totally within the reach of this billionaire.
With that being said, it isn’t easy to deploy this project overnight. Shooting a movie on Earth is complicated enough and takes a lot of time. So to shoot a movie in space, there will be even more challenges.
