Some people fall asleep so easily while others may struggle every night trying to, ending up waking up late or suffering from sleep deprivation. However, not everyone can have much time in bed to sleep. Especially in the military, soldiers have to follow a really strict schedule every day, no matter what time they fall asleep, they have to get up at a certain time like everybody else. So how do they make the most out of their night time to sleep? In fact, there is a military technique that can help anyone fall asleep in two minutes, which means not only soldiers but regular people can use it too.

This trick is especially helpful for soldiers in case they have to sleep on battlefields as well as other situations that are not peaceful. The technique was said to be developed by army chiefs to make sure soldiers didn’t suffer from exhaustion, avoiding making mistakes.
The following are steps to fall asleep in two minutes:
- Relax your face’s muscles, which include your jaw, tongue, and those around your eyes.
- Drop your shoulders as low as they can go, then drop your upper arm, lower arm, each side at a time.
- Now, breathe out, relax your chest then your legs, from your thighs down.
- Next, try to clear your mind within 10 seconds then think about one of these images:
- Yourself say “don’t think” to yourself again and again for 10 seconds.
- You are lying in a hammock that’s in black velvet hammock, in a pitch-black room.
- You are lying in a canoe, floating on a calm lake, there nothing above you except for the clear blue sky.

This technique is said to be effective for 96% of people after practicing for six weeks.
Right now, the NHS recommends people to sleep for about eight hours every night for proper functioning. People lacking sleep can suffer from several medical conditions such as heart disease, high blood pressure, and obesity.
