In the past few years, flying cars have become more popular with big players like Porsche and Boeing looking to manufacture these vehicles. And now, a city in England is ready to have the first airport for flying cars in the world.
Urban-Air Port, a start-up from the UK, has partnered with Hyundai Motor to design and build this futuristic airport to show people what it would be like for air travel in the future. The new construction is called the Urban Air Port.

The new project will build a zero-emission infrastructure hosting the next generation of electric as well as autonomous air vehicles.
Compared to a traditional heliport, the futuristic airport is 60% smaller. It takes only a matter of days to be installed. If needed, it can even be moved to other places. Since it releases net-zero carbon emissions, it is extremely eco-friendly.
Any eVTOL can use the Urban Air Port. It is especially ideal for emergency situations since it can deploy drones, along with other eVTOL, immediately to transport equipment, supplies, and people.

Hyundai has also stated that it had plans to design and manufacture ít own eVTOL aircraft. By working with Air-One, the company plans to commercialize its aircraft as soon as 2028. The Urban-Air Port is being constructed in Coventry, a city in England. And by November 2021, it will be ready. The project received a $1.65-million-grant from the government.
