Back in June, a report from the US government noted that geothermal energy, which is the heat produced naturally beneath the surface of the Earth, has “enormous untapped potential” for generating electricity.
Eavor Technologies – a Canadian company is currently building a geothermal energy system in Alberta which is called as the first of its kind by the company to help the world finally tap into the enormous potential of geothermal energy.
Telling CBC News, John Redfern – CEO of Eavor Technologies said:

The name of this geothermal energy system is Eavor Loop. And to create this system, two wells which are a few kilometers apart are drilled by the company. As soon as each well has the depth of some kilometers, Eavor will begin to drill in a horizontal direction to connect 2 wells.
Then, there will be a proprietary liquid circulated through the tunnel. The fluid will gather heat generated from beneath the surface of the Earth and bring it up to the ground where the system will transform it into usable electricity.
This geothermal energy system helps to create clean energy. There is no fracking required as well as greenhouse gas emitted, which means that the Eavor Loop system could let the world finally get access to the energy from below our feet and at the same time cause minimal environmental damage.

The company’s CEO reported to CBC News:

After the project, the company's CEO - John Redfern said that Eavor Technologies will spend time on some commercial projects not only in Canada but also all over the world.
