Summer can get extremely hot, especially for a tropical country like India. This has caused people to do crazy things to fight the summer heat. But I don’t think anyone can easily beat this Ahmedabad woman in terms of the craziness. She covered her Toyota Corolla Altis car with cow dung, literally, to keep it cool.
The temperatures in certain parts of India have already risen to higher than 40 degrees C; with this heat, even the air conditioner cannot save us.
The image of this incident was posted on a Facebook page called Animal Helpline- Karuna Foundation, showing a car coated with cow dung.
This crazy action was also shared by another Facebook user called Rupesh Gauranga Das, claiming that the car’s owner to be one Mrs. Sejal Shah. The user wrote “Best use of cow dung I have ever seen,” adding that the pictures were shot in Ahmedabad.
In fact, we all know that cow dung is widely used in our country. It helps huts remain cool in the hot weather of the summer while keeping them warm in the winter.
So, using cow dung to fight heat is not really a bad idea, if you can stand or ignore the extreme odor of the material. Plus, the dung can easily come off if someone touches the car and fall on them, making them smell like dung.
Interestingly, this is not the only one to put dung on a car to stay cool, a man in Telangana did similarly by putting a thatched roof on his Jaguar. Cartoq revealed that the man used dried straws commonly used for coolers and fixed them on the top of that car.
