We're living in an age of automation. In the past, it is rather complicated to make bread. Nevertheless, with the appearance of BreadBot, bread now can be made fully automated. So instead of going to the shelf and picking up bread in a plastic bag which could be shipped many days ago, you can now get fresh bread every hour.

Fresh, Warm Bread Every Hour
With an aim to supply fresh bread every hour, BreadBot is a perfect fit for grocery stores and small supermarkets where bread was supplied by some wholesaler.
Using dry ingredients, BreadBot can make most types of bread. The bakery robot will also provide audible alerts whenever there are fresh loaves of bread that need slicing or more ingredients need adding.

Along with the convenience that it brings, the machine is also environmentally friendly. As it doesn't have to go through the transportation process, there is no need for preservatives or additives. Moreover, the machine also helps reduce waste and cost since it can cook to demand.
The Burger-Flipping Robot Flippy: A failure of robots making food
Flippy is the world's first autonomous robotic kitchen assistant developed by Miso Robotics. After its debut, the robot quickly "got a job" at Pasadena Caliburger. Flippy was reportedly capable of making 150 burgers per hour. However, the robotic failed to reach its KPI.

Flippy
Flippy was expected to bring consistency to every CaliBurger across the country so that no matter where you go, you get the same CaliBurger. Nevertheless, it appears to come short of the expectation.
According to the Washington Post, the restaurant will re-train its employee to help them work more efficiently alongside the robot. As per the head of technology at CaliBurger:
