Tesla Starts Accepting Bookings In India This Month, Delivery By June

Elon Musk announced that the first Tesla car to be sold in the Indian market would be the most affordable option of the company, the Model 3.

Tesla has created a revolution in the car-making industry, offering blazing fast cars but safe at the same time.

Previously, you have to live in countries where Tesla cars are available in order to purchase one. However, this will change soon as Tesla has sealed plans to start accepting bookings this month. The delivery process will begin in June.

Initially, the Model 3 is thought to be a completely built unit (CBU) and will be imported from its manufacturing plant directly. However, in the future, with a rise in demands, Tesla could start manufacturing the car right in India. The Model 3 has a range of 500 kilometers. Its top speed is 162 miles per hour. The car takes only 3.1 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour.

In Q3 2020 sales, the Model 3 and Model Y are Tesla’s most selling vehicles with 89% share.

Just like other countries where Tesla cars are available, consumers won’t be able to purchase the Model 3 via dealerships. Instead, the vehicle will be sold digitally. Originally, the carmaker was about to make its debut in the country in 2016. However, because of infrastructure issues, the plans were delayed by four years.
