Sushant Singh Rajput, made a name for himself with some memorable Bollywood movies, is no longer with us. He committed suicide at his Bandra home in Mumbai on Sunday.

Sushant Singh Rajput had the All India Rank of 7 when he attended the Entrance Examination of Delhi College of Engineering back in 2003. The actor pursued his education in mechanical engineering for three years before dropping out to be a full-time actor.

Sushant became a household name after playing a role in 'Pavitra Rishta.' After that, he ventured to movies and had some achievements there too. Some of his most memorable movies are 'M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story,' 'Chhichhore,' 'Kai Po Che.’

He made his debut in 2013 with "Kai Po Che!.’ Sushant was announced the best actor at the 2017’s Indian Film Festival for his role as the cricket star Mahendra Singh Dhoni, in "M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story."

He was also known for playing Manav in Pavitra Rishta, a popular TV series, from 2009 to 2014.

It is known that Sushant Singh Rajput suffered from depression but the police had not been able to find any suicide note left by the actor explaining why he took his own life.

He had a movie about to be released called 'Dil Bechara,' which is based on 'The Fault In Our Stars.'

The news of his death was made known by his public relations team on behalf of his family. Apart from expressing the grief for the actor’s death, the team also requested the media to maintain privacy during this grieving time.

On Sunday, right after the suicide was made know to the public, PM Narendra Modi took to Twitter to share his condolences.
