Flying Car
On June 07, CNET released a new article about the exclusive 1st look of the flying car of New Future Transportation (a new startup in the industry). And this car is just wild.

In its driving mode, the new flying car - Aska looks like a combination of a Delorean and the Batmobile. But it gets much weirder in its flying mode. When switching to its flying mode, the car will unfold its enormous wings that it keeps on the roof until both of its wings reach 40 feet wingspan.
The Last Mile
CNET had an interview with the chief executive of New Future - Maki Kaplinsky. Kaplinsky said that this new flying car (Aska) would be able to carry up to three passengers. Moreover, to get ready to take off, Aska only needs a free area of about a couple of parking slots.

After it gets ready with its wings extended, it then can vertically take off, so the whole process only requires a small amount of space. After that, the autonomous system of the car could then ferry its passengers up to a distance of 150 miles. Then, it will switch back into the driving mode so the passengers could drive to their final destination.
Maybe it will be your future car?
The startup New Future also expects to start the test-flying process of Aska by the 1st quarter of next year; they plan to put it on sale somewhere around 2025. $200,000 will be the starting cost of Asaka, but then the company hopes to apply mass production to bring down the price to around $50,000.
The chairman of New Future - Guy Kaplinsky, said that they are not making a car only for the rich; they want to make Aska into something everyone could afford.
